DIY Silk Bridal Flowers

A friend asked me to do bridesmaid bouquets for her wedding, so I ran over to Jo-Ann's fabric and found her colors in calalilys, peonies and a number of different accent flowers. I put them together in different ways until it looked right, using one calla lily as a focal point. Some of the wires on the flowers were really thick, so I used a pruner for the heavier wire. I wrapped them in green floral tape and then in thick, beautiful ribbon, securing them with pins on the bottom. I put them all together in a vintage vase and presented them to the bride. She loved them!
Don't be afraid to do your own flowers, and because these were better quality silk flowers the bridesmaids had mementos of the event as well!
